A Sweet Gift From Maja

Welcome all Scrap Cake Fans!

Those of my friends and relations who know about my creative hobby, usually expect some handmade gifts and cards. And even though I sometimes happen to send ready made cards on Christmas (alas!), I try to give something handmade as often as possible – thus even a smallest gift has a special value.

For my Mum’s birthday I bought a box of chocolates, but I wanted to give it a personal touch. The Cozy Xmas papers turned out to be perfect for this role

Although plaid seems to be a rather casual, “kitchen” pattern, accompanied by large, elegant cut-outs, flowers and a crystal swirl looks quite well

Using the paper left-overs and similar embellishments and composition I made a matching card:

In this way I got a set I liked myself, and what’s more important, my Mum liked too

Decorating ready made gifts has one more advantage – making such a set takes about an hour!
