Welcome on this beautiful, long May weekend
We’re in the height of the First Communion season, this Sunday my own Godson is also receiving the Holy Communion, therefore I decided to create a card for this occassion. And when it was ready, I thought perhaps I’d make another one, for a girl – and thus this mini-set came into being
First Communion is a joyful celebration, but undoubtedly elegant too, therefore I thought the Bright Side of Life papers would suit best. For the boy’s card I used the sand-blue colour combo, and light blue with pink accents for the girl’s one.
The papers are so decorative that they don’t need many embellishments – so I used just white die-cuts and some flowers in addition to glittered stamped images. Due to the colourful background the cards don’t look bland.
I usually don’t do that, but this time I decided to decorate the space for the wishes inside the cards. Ialso added small pockets for little gifts or money:
The cards are not very diemnsional – so unlike me! – and would go into envelopes with ease, but I decided they would look much better in boxes
If you think of creating First Communion cards too, I hope you’d find my inspiration useful
