Hi There lovely TSC Fans, Trudi here with another beautiful TSC Flower Power installment for you!
Today I have a little altered home décor project to share with you. I just adore floral blooms and have had lots of fun creating this sweet bird cage. I have combined some manufactured flowers from the Australian distributor of The ScrapCake, Manor House Creations, with some hand made ones to coordinate.
A few gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers were incorporated to create a cascading canopy of floral beauty over the cage top. A Winter’s Song bloom creates a focal point:
With some pretty Gratitude blooms tucked in to the arrangement.
Some coordinating hand made flowers were also added to the mix. I love making these flowers, they are quick and can be easily coordinated to suit whatever project. A little creative process is following for you.

Papers from the One Moment in Time collection were used. To recreate similarly, punch out 2 flower shapes. I have used a ‘Floriana’ shape punch for mine. Distress one of the punched shapes by screwing up and then gently unfolding.
To create the centre of the flower, screw up the other punched shape and attach to the centre of the other flower. It should look something like this.
The tips of the petals can also be rolled for a different look. For a fuller flower, add more layers.
I created a little twig cluster and then added a hand made flower and some ribbon. This was attached to the front of the cage.
