Hi, it’s Zuzia here. This week is called “Flower Power Week”, so our DT is working with any type of flowers!
I love flowers, both natural and paper. I have to admit that I’m not a good houseplants keeper. Unfortunately all of them wither away quickly. But the garden plants are in a quite well condition and at the height of summer my neighbours may admire beautiful violet clematis. Year in, year out they become lusher. Of course I also like to put lots of flowers in my projects. For today I prepared a project and a small surprise for you – my paper flowers tutorial. I hope you use it and then show your works!
~~ HANDMADE FLOWERS – TUTORIAL BY ZUZIA BODAKOWSKA ~~
To make those flowers you will need:
- some paper flowers of different sizes. I used cut out shapes but you can also used a puncher or just cut out them with scissors.
You have to shape the petals as shown in the photos below. I use a tip of liquid pearls bottle to do that. I just wrap the tip with each petal and next I shape the middle to make a perfect flower.

Then, you have to stick together all of three flowers starting with the biggest one and finishing with the smallest.
Next, I cover the whole flower with a glue e.g. “Magik” and cover it with glitter. The rest of glitter just dump into the box. If you don’t like glitter, you can omit this step. And if you like it, just glitter your life (as my daughter Julia says).
When the glue dries (if impatient use a heater), you can decorate the middle of the flower. I used a special flower sticks but you can take a button, brad or anything else.

And here you can see the flower in action. I decorate my Julia’s tin which was used to keep crayons in it.
One Moment In Time collection
I hope, you find this tutorial useful. I’m waiting to see your flowers done with the help of my tutorial.
