Hello again everybody, Lou here! I am back today as The ScrapCake’s Guest Designer to show you two layouts I have created using the NEW Summer City papers and embellishments.
I wanted to display how versatile this line is, with both very girly and very masculine pages. So first for my feminine layout…
By concentrating on the pretty pinks, yellows and aqua’s in the papers, and leaving out some of the grey shades, I could keep my page floaty and girly. I used the circle shapes on the base sheet of ‘Sunny Delight’ as inspiration for all the circles in my design.
The worded circles in the Die-Cut Set were perfect to layer up for a more dimensional look. I also cut some arrows from the tags to add a ‘fun’ feel to my page.
My next layout is one for my little man! The photo was taken on holiday, so the bright oranges, yellows and sea blues were perfect for the theme.
I cut strips of the papers and curled them like rolling waves to frame my ‘polaroid’ style photo.
I found accents of wood and metal, such as the pegs, cogs and chicken wire, suited these papers perfectly, adding to the masculine feel.
Summer City Collection
I hope you enjoying playing with these new papers as much as I did, and creating a piece whether for a boy or girl

I love your work. Especially the first one. It is soooooooo…. just no word for it!
