July TSC ScrapBOOK with Trudi and her tutorial!

Hi Lovely TSC Fans, Trudi here today and I have a mini album to share which the foundation has been created from a piece of 12” x 12” cardstock.  A heavier double sided patterned paper could also be used.  The concept also works well if you wanted to create a gift card holder instead of  a mini album.  Instead of adding photo’s as I have done, add the gift card and a sentiment.

The creative process is as follows to make a the basic 6” x 4” mini album/gift card holder.  This of course can be altered depending on the size you wish to make.

Taking your 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock – draw a faint pencil line to divide in half, then measure 4” up along both edges and draw a faint line across. Measure another 4” up and draw another faint line across. Refer to the following diagram showing lines

Now remove the following pieces as shown in the picture:

Score along where the broken lines are

And then fold along score lines

Opening up, trim the top piece approx 1.5 cm in from the right hand edge

Now punch two small holes along the back right hand edge

Fold cover over, line up and punch holes in the front cover

A piece of ribbon can be threaded through the holes and tied in a bow to close.

Now you are right to decorate/embellish the card holder.

I have covered the pages with papers from the One Moment In Time and My Private Happiness collections.

Photos were added along with other embellishing.

Thanks so much for dropping by today and I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial. Happy Creating!!
